South Baymouth Community Development Association

South Baymouth Community Development Association (SBCDA) was established in 2005. As an Association, it was structured to function on a Membership basis not only for those residing both full time or seasonally as well as those who own/operate a business in the village of South Baymouth but also those who reside on both a full or seasonal basis and throughout the Township of Tehkummah.

MISSION STAEMENT
SBCDA is committed to strengthening the social, economic, cultural and environmental fabric of the village of South Baymouth and Tehkummah Township by  preserving our heritage, supporting sustainable growth and fostering a vibrant, welcoming community for all.

VISION STATEMENT
SBCDA is dedicated to and envisions a vibrant, sustainable community for full-time and seasonal residents, local businesses along with visitors where heritage, nature, current/future opportunities come together to support a quality of life that enhances the unique Manitoulin Island experience.

GOALS – OBJECTIVES
The mandate of SBCDA is to fulfill its Mission and Vision statements with a variety of goals and initiatives including but not limited to the following:
– Hosting community fundraising activities
– Supporting existing and new community projects
– Promoting community awareness within the village of South Baymouth and throughout the Township of Tehkummah.
– Maintaining an informative SBCDA community website and social media presence ie: Facebook in order to promote community events and Member’s awareness of SBCDA’s ongoing initiatives to enhance the community
– Build on and enhance the SBCDA Membership ranks which includes: Individual, Family and Business Members
– As an Association, SBCDA shall be carried on and achieve its objectives without the purpose of financial gain for its Executive members, and any profits or other monies earned or received by the Association shall be used in promoting and achieving its objectives.
